The Heidelberg University men’s golf team recorded a 13th place finish at the Nye Intercollegiate Invitational, hosted by the College of Wooster on Saturday and Sunday, April 20 and 21.
The Nye Intercollegiate was played over 6,545 yards of Wooster Country Club in Wooster, Ohio. The course played as a par 72 for the field of 16 teams.
The Berg men were led by Kevin Hiller’s 166 (87-79). Hiller finished in a tie for 33rd place overall.
Jared Linden finished with the second best score, carding a two round total of 169 (85-84).
Mike Brothers and Jack Eifel helped the Student Princes to a 13th place finish with a two four sub-90 rounds. The duo finished with a two round total of 172 (83-89) and 174 (89-85) respectively.
Vito Scioto’s 182 (98-84) rounded out the Heidelberg men in Wooster.
The Student Princes will hit the practice range hard over the coming days in preparation for the grueling three-day Ohio Athletic Conference Spring Championships. The OAC Championships will be hosted by Muskingum University at the River Greens Golf Club in West Lafayette, Ohio.
