TIFFIN, Ohio—The Heidelberg University men’s golf team, following a two-week layoff, will compete Friday-Sunday at the 2012 Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Golf Championship at River Greens Golf Course in West Lafayette, Ohio.
Seniors Zak Markley (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville South) and Brian Cline (Mentor) lead the team with 81.5 and 82.5 stroke averages, respectively.
At last year’s OAC championship, the Student Princes placed seventh with 942 total strokes over three rounds. Markley finished in a tie for 12 place with a team-best 228 strokes. Cline carded a 231 to finish in a tie for 18th.
Senior Corey Pierson (Troy) and sophomore Troy Keller (Tiffin/Calvert) tallied 254 and 257 strokes and placed 41st and 42nd, respectively, in 2011. Both will be competing this weekend.
