TIFFIN, Ohio—The Heidelberg University men’s and women’s cross country teams will compete Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Knight Invitational at Calvin (Mich.) College in Grand Rapids, Mich. The gun for the women’s five-kilometer run will go off at 10 a.m. and the men’s eight-kilometer run starts at 10:45 a.m.
Last Saturday, the men’s team took seventh place at the Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational, where senior John Gogle (Sunbury/Big Walnut) topped all Student Princes with a 16th-place finish in a time of 27:02.5.
The women placed 14th and were led by sophomore Sophie Goobic (Canton, N.Y./Hugh C. Williams), who took 56th place in a time of 20:41.0.
Following Saturday’s meet at Calvin, the Berg will have a two-week layoff before competing at the All-Ohio Championships in Cedarville.
