The Heidelberg University cheerleading squad is a fun and spirited way to get involved at the Berg. The cheerleaders can be seen on the sidelines of all home football and basketball games throughout the year. With only a couple practices a week and cheering only home games, being a ’Berg cheerleader can easily fit into a busy college schedule.
In the fall, we host a cheerleading clinic for young girls to come learn cheers and dances to perform at a football game alongside the Berg cheerleaders. Our biggest event of the year is the cheerleading competition we host on campus over Presidents' Day weekend. High school and All-Star squads from around the state come to compete. Tryouts to become a member of the Berg cheerleading squad are held in April for the following year.
