Fall may be football season, but for the Heidelberg baseball coaching staff, it is also a great time to stay ahead of the learning curve.
The 2013 Fall Prospect Camp, October 20, 2013, is an opportunity for high school upperclassmen to showcase their baseball skills to the Heidelberg coaching staff while learning how to play like a collegiate ball player.
“It is a good opportunity for players to show their skill that our coaching staff may not see during their high school season or summer league,” said head coach Matt Palm.
Since 2000, Heidelberg has secured nine Ohio Athletic Conferences Championships with five regular season championships and four conference tournament championships. In those 13 years the Berg boasts a .698 overall winning percentage for all games and a .709 winning percentage in the OAC. Heidelberg has competed in five regional tournaments since 2004 and advanced to the regional championship game in three of the last six seasons.
Heidelberg has produced 21 All-Americans and 45 All-Region players while placing 110 players on the All-OAC teams including 47 first-team honorees. Heidelberg has also produced 86 academic awards including the 2010 NCAA Elite 88 award winner.
