AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – The Spring Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Team, released by the league on Wednesday, featured 19 scholar-athletes from Heidelberg University. The honor is extended to varsity student-athletes with a 3.5 GPA who have completed one full year at their institution.
The baseball team led the way for Heidelberg with eight selections. Three starting infielders, a starting outfielder and two key cogs in the bullpen were among the honorees.
Four members from the track and field teams landed on the list, while five from the tennis teams received the honor. Softball placed both of their eligible student-athletes on the list.
The 19 spring selections join the 25 student-athletes honored in the fall and winter.
