2008 Hall of Fame Inductees

The following members of the 23rd Class of Inductees to the "H" Association Hall of Fame were honored at the Oct. 11, 2008 Student Princes football game versus Ohio Northern University, followed by a ceremony on the Heidelberg campus that evening. Gene Amlin - '54
Football

Tackle and defensive end for Heidelberg ... Member of the 1952 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship team that went 8-1 during the year and outscored its opponents 257-61 ... Best all-around blocker on the line during his junior and senior years ... Captain of 1953 football team.
Stacy Scudder - '93
Basketball

Started guard as a freshman ... Helped lead 'Berg to its first NCAA Final Four appearance in 1990 ... Voted to the NCAA Atlantic Regional All-Tournament Team ... Academic All-OAC Honorable Mention as a sophomore ... First Team All-OAC and Academic All-OAC in final two seasons ... Team MVP ... Earned All-OAC Tournament Team honors in 1993 ... Received title of Heidelberg’s NCAA Woman of the Year and Clyde Lamb scholar-athlete nominee.

Shawn Winkelfoos - '92
Football

A leading tackler for the Student Princes ... 1988 Paul Hoernemann Award recipient... Four-year letter winner... All-OAC First Team in 1990 and 1991 ... 1991 Preseason All-American and team captain ... MVP as a senior ... 1991 All-American Honorable Mention.

Men's Basketball Team - '83-84

NCAA Tournament qualifying team under head coach John Hill ... Second at OAC Tournament ... Tied for second during the regular season with Wittenberg and Otterbein ... Finished the year 24-7, 10-3 in the OAC ... First team at Heidelberg to eclipse 20 wins ... Jerry Buccilla earned the OAC’s Mike Gregory Award, recognizing the league’s Most Valuable Player, along with a nod on the first team’s for the Great Lakes Region and the OAC ... Buccilla was also named the regional MVP ... Lee Harris, Claudie Johnson and Greg Mossing received Honorable Mention All-OAC.
