The goal of the WLI Certificate Program is to provide a formal means of developing leadership through coursework and participation in, collaboration with, and an original contribution to WLI. The four-semester program will require accountability from participants; they will have to fulfill several requirements to “graduate” from the program:
- complete NDI 205: Exploring Leadership and Leadership Theory (offered occasionally) OR WGS 100: Introduction to Women’s and Gender Studies (offered each spring);
- attend at least two WLI events per semester;
- complete an original leadership project OR lead an Outreach event; and
- interview a woman leader and present the information gained from that interview at a WLI event.
All interested students may apply to the WLI Certificate Program by filling out a one-page application and emailing a one-page written statement describing their interest in and expectations of the program to the Directors.
