Cynthia Snyder Ramsdell, collaborative pianist, plays for the Concert Choir and Women's Chamber Ensemble, Opera Scenes workshop and student lessons and recitals. She previously accompanied the University-Community Chorus for three years and several musical theater productions at Heidelberg, The Ritz Theatre for the Performing Arts, Calvert High School and choral ensembles at three local high schools. She is serving in her third year as director of the Heidelberg University Community School of Music, where she coordinates private and group lessons and recitals for budding musicians from the Tiffin area. Mrs. Ramsdell received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music education from Bowling Green State University College of Musical Arts, where she studied piano with Distinguished Teaching Professor Virginia Marks. She was formerly a staff accompanist at the University of Central Arkansas and has been a music teacher in private and public schools in Pennsylvania.
She has been teaching private voice and piano lessons for 18 years, having seen several of her students become professional musicians and music educators. She hails from Findlay, Ohio, where she was an accompanist for the award-winning Findlay First Edition Show Choir for three years. As a youngster, she was quoted as saying, "God made fingers to play pianos." With her husband, Dr. Greg Ramsdell, she sings on the praise team at The Journey Church and home schools two of their four children.
