Mrs. Ramsdell received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music education from Bowling Green State University College of Musical Arts, where she studied piano with Distinguished Teaching Professor Virginia Marks. She was formerly a staff accompanist at the University of Central Arkansas and has been a music teacher in private and public schools in Pennsylvania.

She has been teaching private voice and piano lessons for 19 years, having seen several of her students become professional musicians and music educators. She hails from Findlay, Ohio, where she was an accompanist for the award-winning Findlay First Edition Show Choir for three years. As a youngster, she was quoted as saying, "God made fingers to play pianos." With her husband, Dr. Greg Ramsdell, she sings on the praise team at The Journey Church and is mother to four children.
