"My German major afforded me the opportunity to spend a year abroad with the American Junior Year program and it was undoubtedly the experience of a lifetime. I'll never forget the great people I met and worked with as Co-president of the Heidelberg Deutschklub, as well as the professors who taught me and mentored me during my years at Heidelberg."

Krista pursued a double major in Chemistry and International Studies--but couldn't leave out her love for the German Language and Culture. During her time at Heidelberg she participated in various clubs such as German club, and spent a year abroad in two places: Glasgow, Scotland and Heidelberg, Germany. It wasn't until her semester in Heidelberg, Germany for an internship with BARMER-GEK (Germany's largest insurance provider) that she began to think about health as a broader, multi-dimensional realm.
"My love for science, culture, and travel has led me to my current endeavor--studying Global Health for a Master's in Public Health at George Washington University. Currently, I am finishing up a semester studying in Dhaka, Bangladesh with BRAC (NGO) and look forward to where this will take me next!"
