In a world of increasing interdependence, we seek political, economic and humanitarian solutions to complex global and regional issues. We need more people who have acquired a sensitivity toward other cultures, and appreciation of other points of view and behavior patterns. An effective way to achieve this is through the study of foreign languages and their cultures, through residence and travel abroad and through friendships with citizens of other countries.

By learning to speak another language, you open the doors for additional employment opportunities. Heidelberg offers a German and a Spanish program both flexible to allow for double majoring and can be formatted to fit your personal interests.

““If I could stay in college forever and just continually study abroad, I would. Being young and able to travel is the most fantastic combination.”          Ali Sayer '13
