The Media Management major was designed in collaboration with the School of Business. The program focuses on the development of media content, the operations necessary for that development, and the delivery of media products to both advertisers and audiences. This is where business and the media combine.
As a Media Management major, you will gain:
- A broad-based understanding of the artistic, institutional, and commercial implications of the media industry
- Knowledge of audience analysis (needs, expectations, and contexts), production (economics, technology, and aesthetics), management (operations, finance, and communication), and sales (persuasion, marketing, and advertising)
- An understanding of key legal and ethical issues faced by media professionals
Students will also develop specialized knowledge and skills based on their area of interest within media.
