MBA Admission Requirements

Applicants must begin the program in the Fall semester. Every student applying for the program must have completed the equivalent undergraduate business courses. These pre-requisites may be transferred from another university or completed at Heidelberg as undergraduate courses or as 0 hour MBA courses through Ivy Software while attending as a conditional graduate student. The director will evaluate for these pre-requisites and notify the applicant of missing pre-requisites. Once all pre-requisites have been completed, the student will then move from a conditional admittance to a full accept. Refer to the Graduate Catalog for more specific program information.

GRE and GMAT scores are not required for Graduate Admission!

Each application will be reviewed for acceptance when all of the following have been received. Non-degree; coursework only students only need to submit official Bachelor's or Master's transcripts.

Applicants must submit an online application form for the Master of Business Administration program. There is no application fee for submitting the online form.
Official Transcripts

Must be sent DIRECTLY from the university to Heidelberg. Transcripts of Heidelberg graduates will already be on file.

Must show the following:

  • receipt of a Bachelor’s degree 
  • a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.7 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • undergraduate pre-requisites or their equivalent:
    • Elementary Statistics
    • Financial Accounting
    • Managerial Accounting
    • Principles of Microeconomics
    • Principles of Macroeconomics
    • Coporate Finance

Students who apply with less than the GPA requirement or missing pre-requisite courses may be conditionally admitted at the discretion of the director. Pre-requisite courses may be transferred in or taken at Heidelberg University as undergraduate level courses for credit or as graduate level online courses via IVY software for zero credit. Transcripts will be accepted from a college or university accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools Higher Learning Commission or other regional accrediting commissions which have been recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

International Applicants will not need to submit original transcripts as they are submitted with the NACES evaluation.

Official Master's Transcripts (if applicable) Must be sent DIRECTLY from the university to Heidelberg. Students my transfer up to 9 semester hours of graduate coursework from another college or university no older than 6 years from the time of enrollment in Heidelberg's MBA program.
Statement of Professional Goals/Resume/CV All applicants are required to submit a written statement describing how the MBA program will help with their career goals and objectives. Applicants with relevant, professional work experience must also include a copy of their resume/CV.
New Student Orientation Prior to the start of the semester, the Program Director will notify the applicant with orientation details. This required new student orientation fulfills GSB 504.
International Applicants International applicants must also submit all International Admission requirements in addition to those listed above.
