Dr. Haseeb Jamee Ahmed has obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Finance from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with concentrations in Finance, Economics and Management from Jacksonville State University in Alabama, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (B.S.M.E.) degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. He has also obtained training in International Business, International Finance, International Accounting, and International Negotiations from the University of South Carolina. He is a recipient of several fellowships and awards such as IBM and Prudential Fellowships, Nissan Fellowship to the University of Chicago, and Scholar-in Residence at Duke and New York Universities.
He is actively involved in specialized business program accreditation, corporate & community relations, student engagement (Sam Walton Fellow) & placements, coordination of Business Advisory Board, and development of innovative academic programs. Dr. Ahmed is the recipient of 2009 Association of Collegiate Business Schools & Programs (ACBSP) International Teaching Excellence Award and Regional Teaching Excellence Award. Besides his twenty one years of teaching, research and curriculum development experience, Dr. Ahmed served in various academic program management capacities such as Director of Strategic Planning, Chair of the Division of Social & Behavioral Science, and Chair of the Department of Business Department. His funded projects include the U.S. Department Labor Workforce Skills Partnership Development, Prudential Curriculum Development, Prudential Faculty Retraining, and Institute of Management Accounting Faculty Enhancement initiatives.
